50/50 centering

A 50/50 card is perfect centering. It meets every grading company's top standard, including the 50/50 that BGS and CGC require for Pristine.

How 50/50 grades

The best grade each company allows when 50/50 is the card's worse axis.

CompanyOn the frontOn the back
PSAPSA 10PSA 10
BGS subgrade10 Pristine10 Pristine
CGCCGC Pristine 10CGC Gem Mint 10

BGS front subgrades here assume the other axis is well centered, since BGS judges both axes together. CGC doesn't publish back limits below a 9.

50/50 in millimeters

On a card whose left and right borders add up to 6 mm, 50/50 centering means a 3.0 mm border on one side and 3.0 mm on the other, a difference of 0.0 mm. That's invisible to the eye.
