80/20 centering

A 80/20 card is well off-center. On the front it limits the card to middle or low grades, and on the back it's past the 75/25 a PSA 10 allows.

How 80/20 grades

The best grade each company allows when 80/20 is the card's worse axis.

CGCCGC 4.5CGC 9

BGS front subgrades here assume the other axis is well centered, since BGS judges both axes together. CGC doesn't publish back limits below a 9.

80/20 in millimeters

On a card whose left and right borders add up to 6 mm, 80/20 centering means a 4.8 mm border on one side and 1.2 mm on the other, a difference of 3.6 mm. That's easy to see at arm's length.
